Custom 3D-Printed ELKO Frame – A Practical Solution for a Local Electrical Company

A local electrical company in Nøtterøy, Norway contacted us after encountering a common renovation challenge:

The customer had cut wall openings around the junction boxes that were too large, and standard ELKO frames were too small to cover the gaps.

Instead of spending extra time on filling, replacing wall panels, or using temporary fixes, they wanted a custom-made frame that would fit perfectly

Solution

We designed a custom ELKO frame with extended dimensions:

 - 105 × 105 mm, making it 1 cm larger than the standard ELKO frame (85 × 85 mm)

 - 3D printed in ABS plastic for strength and stability

 - Post-processed with acetone smoothing to achieve a smooth, professional, factory-like finish

The Result

The result was a clean, elegant, and functional frame that fully covered the opening without visible joints — and a satisfied customer who avoided unnecessary time consumption and additional costs.



Large-Scale Project for a Local Company – Preventing Chemical Spills


We worked on a large project with a local company that needed a solution to prevent chemical spills during the filling of smaller bottles and containers.

Earlier this summer, we invested in a large-format 3D printer capable of producing oversized parts, which proved essential for this project.

One component measures 50 cm in width, while the other measures 80 cm.

In total, it took 90 hours to 3D print a complete set.


Payment Terminal Holder

An exciting project for a customer who needed a custom solution to securely hold their new payment terminal.

Following a workshop, a prototype was designed and produced before the final product was completed. The holder allows both tap-to-pay card transactions and QR code scanning without removing the terminal from the mount.

The holder is mounted using a RAM mount.

The B-ball component was manufactured in PC Blend HT LCF from Addnorth, while the holder itself was produced using PETG Pro Matte, also from Addnorth.
